Volunteer with Us!

Right now, the main way you can volunteer is to host a book drive! Check out our bookshop.org page for a list of approved titles. You can purchase them from bookshop.org and they’ll come straight to us. You can also purchase them new from your local indie bookstore, invite your friends to purchase books too, and mail us books via USPS media mail. Or, if you’re local to Chicago, drop them off. 

If you’re an accountant or lawyer, email us at volunteers@booksmakeadifference.org and let us know you’re looking to do skills-based volunteering.

If you’re passionate about getting kids books, and you live in another state, reach out about starting a provisional chapter of Books Make a Difference in your city. We’re excited to grow!
